MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

WINTECH's Business Department programmes focus on developing students from all over Africa that aspire to be business leaders. Students are trained at Professional levels (IPED and ICM - UK) and Academic level i.e Diploma, HND & Bachelors Degree qualification. In addition to students completing several semesters of course work, they also have to complete a research project during their final year. This enables them acquire critical analytical skills, which are invaluable in the quest for higher levels of education or career enhancement.

With regard to academic standing and pragmatic business acumen, the Department prides itself in producing high-achieving and successful individuals in every sphere of management endeavor. The Business Department has links and strategic partnerships with the business community.. Prominent industry practitioners are also frequently invited as guest lecturers to give talks on topical business issues in their various spheres of business endeavor.

To help students make the most of their future careers, the School provides the opportunity for personal development and career planning. WINTECH, through its student representatives, organizes job fairs, motivational seminars and workshops on career-related issues. WINTECH has international affiliations with other schools over the globe with important synergistic benefits accruing to the BUSINESS DEPARTMENT as a result of these international linkages.



FACULTY PROFILE

Mr. Okoffo Darteh Daniel

Mr. Darteh is one of the vibrant lecturers in the department. He has been teaching for the past three years in marketing and human resource management. He joined the department a year ago and he has contributed academically to the betterment of student research. Mr. Darteh holds a Degree in Marketing and an Mphil in leadership from the UPSA and was adjudged the best graduating MPhil student.










Mr. Alhassan Nasiru

Mr. Alhassan is a marketing and management lecturer in the department. He was the former HOD for business in the New town branch. He has over four (4) years experience of teaching ICM Professional courses in various institutions. He joined the department in 2013 and has performed academically well in his field of teaching. He is currently pursuing his postgraduate in business studies and holds two Graduate Diploma (Degree) in Business studies and Marketing ICM – UK respectively. His research ideas focuses on business development, customer service management and organizational change.
